Our Third Project undertaken from the spring of 2010 was to make a Conifer Trail. This involved volunteers clearing brambles and undergrowth from a small wooded copse adjacent to our picnic feld and laying a bark path throughout.
Again, we have used circular logs to make two “fairy rings” across the trail. Our volunteers also had three days enthusiastic help clearing brambles from the Young People’s Team provided by the Greenwich Volunteer Bureau.
Local schools use the Conifer Trail to not only undertake Worm and Insect Surveys but also find it’s a good place to hold Teddy Bear Picnics!
